Official Opening of Westlite Johor Tech Park, on 20 January 2014
Key Extracts from Opening remarks by Datuk Tee Siew Kiong

“Datuk Tee Siew Kiong, Johor State Executive Councillor and Chairman of the Johor Executive Committee for Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs, graced the official opening ceremony on behalf of the Chief Minister of Johor, Dato’ Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin. In his message, the Chief Minister stated his full support of our Group, and that purpose-built dormitories such as Westlite Johor Tech Park will contribute to increase the social quality among foreign workers. He added that such accommodation is necessary, given the increasing rate of investment in Johor.”

"This dormitory is just NOT another dormitory! This is the dormitory that will shape and change how dormitories should be hence on. It is not because it is the FIRST international branch outside Singapore to do so but how the management has carefully looked into the finest details in building the BEST fully equipped housing for foreign workers in my humble opinion. This 1.42854 hectare project which cost RM25 million will house a supermarket, grooming saloon, food court, clinic, gym, media room, fitness centre, sport facilities and to mention even internet facilities among that many that is in the pipeline. It will be a home for over 5,000 foreign nationals. These facilities we boast about here made available is believed to be the first of such in the country."

"Westlite dormitories, a place not where it will be called a house which to be made up of only brick and cement BUT a home, where the feeling and sentiment of family is built upon."
